       We are a three generation family of avid hikers and campers who have criss-crossed our state in search of the adventure and thrills of

discovery which abounds in our Colorado Rockies.

       In the early seventies, we needed to find a place which would be more accessible to us, a retreat in which to relax and regroup away from the crowds which thronged the more popular spots.

       We found what we sought in the Allenspark area, backpacking along Rock Creek up the old Ski Road south of town.  The attraction for us was the peace, solitude and tranquility that we found;  remote and wild, yet accessible.

       We fell in love with Rock Creek and the Allenspark area, and returned again and again through the intervening years with our growing families.

       When our fortunes made it possible for us to acquire our very own mountain home, we immediately started searching for an ideal place near Allenspark.

       After two months of searching and elimination, we hit paydirt.  As we stepped up into our great room, we immediately knew that we had finally found our lifelong dream.  The house itself beckoned to us, and we felt as if we had always belonged in it.

       Windsong has been for us everything we ever dreamed and hoped for.  Sharing it with our guests has made it even more fun, enjoyable, and endearing to us.
